Lite Bites
š When the Mona Lisa was stolen in 1911, Pablo Picasso was a suspect.
š The longest-running periodical in history, The London Gazette, has been published continuously since 1665. Longevity starts with a single issue.
š The first known written correspondence dates back to 2400 BCEāan administrative letter carved into a Sumerian clay tablet.
š Just because you canāt see the results, doesnāt mean they are not accumulating.
Monaās notes

ā Edgar Degas āWaitingā (1880-82)
This week I realised that garages are where the magic happens. Amazon began life as a garage full of books, Apple started in Steve Jobsā parents' garage, where he and Steve Wozniak built their first computers and Disney began in a garage, where Walt and Roy Disney started sketching their first animations. I love a good origin story, because every big idea starts small.
Begin anywhere. š
The first step doesnāt have to be brilliant, it just has to happen.
Because momentum only shows up for those in motion.
On that note, I am moving garage. After some thought, Iāve decided to bring Mona Lisa to Substack. Starting next week, all future issues will arrive from my new home.
Why the move?
Iāve been receiving your thoughtful emails and would like to make it easier for you to leave a thought or recommendation ā¤ļø Substack will allow readers to leave comments without having to sign in.
What does this mean for you?
Not much will change. Youāll still receive the same short email and snappy facts once a week on Sunday. If youāre already subscribed, youāll automatically be added to the new listāyou donāt need to lift a finger.
Hereās our new spot: Mona Lisaās New Home. Feel free to visit, explore & leave your comments
Thank you for sticking with me on this journey.
Love Mona x
